QUANTUM DATA'S MARK STOCKFISCH
RECEIVES CEA 2013 TECHNOLOGY ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
VIEW ALL ADS >> Mark Stockfisch is honored for technical leadership in the publication of the best-selling standard CEA-861F, A DTV Profile for High Speed Digital Interfaces, as co-chair of the CEA’s Uncompressed A/V Digital Interfaces Working Group. Stockfisch is also a past recipient of the Technology Leadership Award, He is dedicated to helping manufacturers bring new displays and related signal interfaces to market. As a Motorola employee in the 1970s, he developed original tools for the computer monitoring manufacturing business. Later Stockfisch moved to Quantum Sales. Quantum Sales’ business plan was to sell modified consumer TV chassis to major arcade manufactures in the Chicago area and use sales commissions to start a new video test equipment company called Quantum Data.
Stockfisch designed Quantum Data’s initial product. Over time, Stockfisch became Quantum Data’s Chief Technology Officer, and the company evolved to become one of the world’s leading suppliers of test equipment for the design, installation, and service of audio, visual and control products. In addition to CEA, Stockfisch is a member of the IEEE, ACM, SID, AES, SMPTE, VESA, and the HDMI Forum. Stockfisch also co-chairs CEA’s 3D Technologies workgroup and is chair of the HDMI Forum’s Test Subgroup.
